Using the 'Hold File with Icons' button

If you want to change icons of the single objects without using themes you can use hold-file-with-icons-button.gif (Hold File With Icons) button. This button has 2 positions: on and off. If the button is pressed out (off), the file, which contains the current object icon, is loaded automatically into the Select an icon area (icon preview area). If the button is pressed in (on), Select an icon area (icon preview area) stays the same.

Here is an example on how the button can be useful.
Suppose you want to change standard Windows icons for My Computer and Recycle Bin into an icons in the *.icl (Icon library) file. We will use fie “xyz.icl”.

    Choose desktop-button.gif object type tab.
